Adaptive equipment for recent loss of vision

My lovely friend Eleanor sadly became severely sight impaired earlier this year. I am hoping to raise some money towards an iris vision headset. This technology will allow Eleanor to experience full vision again and allow her to do activities she currently is unable to do such as read, watch a film, look at pictures and simple things we take for granted every day. I think it would be amazing for Eleanor to have something to look forward to and enjoy after what has been an awful year.

Eleanor suddenly experienced a severe headache in April this year, she attended the opticians and was admitted to hospital following this assessment. Eleanor went on to spend months in and out of hospital resulting in four major brain surgeries. 

Unfortunately despite all of this,  Eleanor was diagnosed as severely sight impaired in September this year. She is currently adapting to life without her vision and unfortunately this has meant that Eleanor has had to sell her car, move in with her parents and have a substantial amount of time out of work all of which has had a massive impact on her independence. 

At 25, this has all come as such a shock to Eleanor and to her family and instead of using her savings to buy her first house as planned, Eleanor is having to spend this on adaptations for daily living and technology to assist her with simple daily tasks. I am really hoping that raising any amount of money, big or small will help take this burden off Eleanor and her family and allow her to experience full vision once again.
