My name is Adán Wells Escobar. I'm a 12-year-old filmmaker and artist from Rogers Park, Chicago. I've been making films, shooting photos, drawing, and making art in general my whole life.
I co-run a production studio called Weirdo Central with my filmmaking partner and longtime friend Joaquin De Leon. Together, we've made the films a space in-between and Project V.E.L.O.C.I.T.Y., and we have more creations in the works. Additionally, I’m creating a documentary about the P.O. Box Collective in Rogers Park as part of my Bar Mitzvah project.
This fund supports my creative work as a filmmaker. This includes equipment, editing software, props, costumes, anything that goes towards the production of my upcoming films.
Thank you for supporting my work.
