I woke up to an unfortunate call from my frantic grandmother this morning, "Adam has lost everything... he's just lost everything he owns." After several attempts to comprehend what my distressed grandmother was saying, I started to realize that a miserable tragedy had occurred to my kindhearted cousin and he was entering his worst nightmare. If anyone knows Adam Schmidt, he is a hardworker who strives to make the most of his life and ameliorate the lives of those around him. He currently works incredible hours, at his own pleasure, and is working hard, as a nursing student, to obtain his certifications to get to the next level. This tragedy has taken everything that Adam holds close to his heart, leaving him with the clothes on his back, shoes on his feet and a car. As most people know, he took great pride and care in selecting his furnishing that were displayed in his immaculate apartment. These furnishings consisted of antiques and gifts that he acquired from three grandmothers. He also had irreplacable items from his beloved father, who passed away, that were dear to him. It is sickening to think that his precisely adorned apartment would be demolished and taken right from his grasp. Adam has an innate taste for decorating, a true perfectionist in caring for his home and belongings, and his home was his personal masterpiece that humbly revealed his unique, inborn talents of decor. This perfection that Adam had created took years of effort and hardwork. Leaving him and his family heartbroken over the loss of his safe haven that he fashioned all on his own. I am devastated that a misfortune like this could happen to such a delicate and joyful soul. I encourage you to reflect on his infectious feel good mentality and personality, with the hopes that his genorsity and kindness will help him to overcome these challenges. As an event like this is never expected to happen, Adam had very little renter's insurance. He is a victim of crime. He is a good and faithful friend to everyone he knows and his compassion for others is inspiring; he deserves the warmest support and aid during this tragic time in his life. Please, hold him close in your prayers and help him to recoup the loss of everything he once had.
