Adam's Van Got Stolen

Adam's family van was found, no thanks to the police. They had filed a police report, which is required to file an insurance claim. Adam knew that there was almost no gas in the van, and rode his bike to gas stations nearby to ask them to check video around the time the van was stolen. If you can believe it, the police didn't do this. They also didn't do anything else proactively to find the vehicle. Another person had their similar van stolen Sunday night, and also had a GPS tracker, and when he realized his van was gone Monday morning, he drove to where it was, parked behind Adam's.

As Adam and his fam await the insurance company's coverage of the damage done to the van, this GoFundMe will be paused. Thanks so much to our amazing community for coming together to support Adam and his family.

This is a fundraiser for local organizer and people's musician Adam Smith, who recently had his family van stolen from in front of his home. Adam tirelessly works to help protect his community, whether he's coordinating sweep defenses, calling out violent pigs, or just being a resource for his friends, coworkers, and fellow community members.

So much of Adam's life is dedicated to trying to fill the massive need for safety and care created by sh*tty city leaders. This is an opportunity for us as a community to extend that same care to him.
