"You have Leukemia." Those are words that absolutely no one wants to hear. Unfortunately, this is the news that Adam was given. Leukemia is a fast-moving blood cancer requiring immediate and aggressive treatment. This news has turned Adam and Betsie's world upside down, and while they're still processing this overwhelming challenge, we're holding onto hope and faith as Adam begins this difficult journey at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Adam is the stoic, "lone wolf" type—built like a brick wall, fiercely self-reliant, someone who carves his own path, and helps anyone in need without allowing payment. The intense treatment involves a very lengthy hospital stay, incredibly high dose rounds of chemo, and possible bone marrow transplant. All of this to say, Adam will be unable to work for a very long time and Betsie is focused on his care. They need help covering critical expenses like enormous medical bills that will come from this, housing for Betsie during this time, travel/gas expenses, lost income, and daily living expenses.
