For those of you that don’t know our friend Adam, he is one of the most genuine and down to earth people you could ever hope to meet, when he isn’t pulling your leg! Originally from the UK and only being 32, he has lived in Australia for the past 4.5 years and it’s where he met his beautiful girlfriend, Veronica. They have the most amazing relationship and are now parents to a gorgeous 11-month-old Spoodle, Harvey.
Adam is adored by his friends and is the life of the party, you may have been lucky enough to attend one of his DJ nights he organises, “Wonky Tree” … it’s all in the name!
Day to day Adam is a carpenter and has hobbies that include riding his motorbike, playing football, taking Harvey on adventures with V and finding a cold pint with friends.
As a person you can always rely on Adam to make you smile, honesty is the best policy, although his cutthroat sense of humour will have you laughing/crying!

Since coming out of lockdown, life has resumed as normal, plus the extra events that seemed to have been squeezed into the past 6 months. During this time Adam started to experience some symptoms. Two weekends ago him and V were in Tassie for a Friend’s wedding, as expected Adam was the life and soul of the party. This unfortunately got cut short and they had to return to Melbourne on Sunday evening – some could say this was fate!
After being in unbearable pain, Adam went to the doctor on Monday where suddenly everything went from 0 – 100. Later that day he received heartbreaking news that he had a brain tumour. This completely flipped Adam’s world upside down and all of those close to him.

Adam has undergone his brain surgery and was all smiles that evening which shows you just how strong this man is. Hopefully Adam will get to leave hospital this weekend and start his road to recovery from home. We can’t thank the Alfred enough for their amazingly swift work to get Adam his surgery so quick and their care since then. Although the recovery process is still unknown, it has become clear that Adam will continue to be out of work for a long period of time.
This paired with the costs of day to day living expenses, family travel expenses, and any unpredicted costs means that Adam is under financial strain.

As his friends and immediate support system in Australia, we have decided to create this go fund me page to ensure the unbearable stress he and V are already facing isn’t worsened by financial hardship.

We will be organising several fundraising events which we will post on this page for people who want to get involved and come join us. We also want to reach out to those who can help, your donations will be greatly appreciated and will support Adam and his loved ones through this difficult time.

We will keep everyone updated with Adam’s journey on this page.
Adam continues to be incredibly positive and his inspiring attitude to this journey he faces is keeping everyone afloat. Thank you to all of those who have reached out to Adam during this time your love and support is greatly appreciated and means the world to him!
