Adams Family IVF Fertility Journey

July 5, 2022, Update: Here is an update on our fertility journey. We met a couple on NRFA (embryo adoption) website. This couple had two successful transfers from their two transfers (a handsome, healthy little boy and a beautiful, healthy little girl). The couple has finished building their family and wants to donate their two frozen embryos to us. We will have to travel to Canada to the clinic where the embryos are stored for the frozen embryo transfer. We will have travel expenses (flights, rental car, and hotel), legal expenses, passport expenses, and IVF expenses. We are excited that we met a couple willing to donate their two embryos to us. The doctor’s office said it would take three to five months to schedule our transfer date. We are praying God allows my womb to accept these embryos. We are forever grateful to this couple for donating their embryos to us.

We are asking for help with this upcoming IVF process. We are so thankful for anyone who has already donated. Your donations are so appreciated!

Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t easily ask for help. My parents taught me the value of hard work and obtaining your needs for yourself. It took me a few months to arrive at this point. After much prayer and reflection, I created this Go Fund Me to share my journey with my friends and family. I know that I and others enjoy paying it forward and helping others in their journeys in life. Everyone who knows me also knows a little about my story. So, I will jump into this journey here.

Brad and I got married in March 2020. Brad had a five-year-old son, Caleb. Caleb's biological mother, Cynthia, passed away after fighting HER2+ Breast Cancer. I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to adopt Caleb legally. Caleb is such a blessing in my life. Brad says that Caleb was also blessed to have a mother come into his life at such a critical transition and time. Brad, Caleb and I discussed having a little brother or sister for Caleb. I have prayed for God to grant me the opportunity to deliver a child into this world through me. Caleb is so excited about the chance to be a big brother!

There was a big problem, though, Brad needed a vasectomy reversal, and COVID was in full effect. A vasectomy reversal is considered an “elective surgery.” Huntsville Hospital, Crestwood Medical, and all other doctors that perform reversals were not performing elective surgeries during the COVID outbreak. After much research, we found a doctor in Texas performing reversals during the pandemic. We flew to Texas for a vasectomy reversal, and the surgery was rough for Brad. The surgery was successful! YAY! However, swimmers never come back as strong as they were in the first place. Also, my age affects my egg quality and quantity. We don’t know why we can’t conceive naturally, other than age and unexplained infertility. However, my mother had me at the age of 40, and my mother’s mother (my Grandmother) had a baby at the age of 44. We both do our best to stay healthy and really want to add to our family. We are also at the point where are looking into donor eggs which are even more expensive. We both work full time, but since our health insurance has 0 coverage for IVF, it is all out of pocket.

We have now gone through three rounds of IVF (In vitro fertilization). We had a chemical pregnancy the last round, but I lost the embryo shortly after it implanted. We just completed another transfer, and we’re praying hard it is successful!

This Go Fund Me is to support paying on our past rounds of IVF and any future treatments. After paying off our bills, any leftover money will be donated to another IVF Go Fund Me patient.

We are asking for prayers and help with our IVF journey.
