Hi ya, My names Adam.

I am nearly 24 years old. I have been going to Rutherford school for 4 years. Rutherford school is based in South Croydon and is a school for young people aged between 14-25 years with profound multiple learning difficulties. Rutherford is part of the Garwood foundation charity.

I am a wheelchair user however, this year I have worked really hard to increase my independent walking at school. I started using a walking frame at school but now I am working on walking completely independently (with my class team near by) Sometimes I find this really hard and I can get quite tired but I always keep trying.

I am taking on a 500 step challenge as I would like to buy some sensory items for myself and my friends. These are things that we use every day in class and will help enhance our sessions and support our wellbeing. I will complete my 500 step challenge between June 3rd - June 21st 2024.

My names Gemma and I have proudly been working with Adam for 4 years. Adam is an amazing young man who brings so much joy to our classroom. I am so proud at how well he has done with his walking goal! He amazes me every day!! Walking is something Adam can find abit trick but something that Adam absolutely loves - whenever he starts he has a massive smile on his face. We are really looking forward to supporting him with his 500 step challenge!!! GO ADAM!!!
