Adam's Stem Cell Transplant Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Adam was diagnosed with Amylodosis in February 2018. He is a father to 6 children, 3 grandchildren and his family has always been the most important thing in his life and is one of the biggests reasons that he has been doing all that he can to survive this awful disease! Amyloidosis is when an abnormal protein called amyloid builds up in your tissues and organs. When it does, it affects their shape and how they work. Amyloidosis is a serious health problem that can lead to life-threatening organ failure. Adam went through 3 different chemotherapies for 7 months to reduce his plasma cell numbers and get him ready for a stem cell transplant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Mn. He was suppose to start his stem cell transplant processes the beginning of September but had to postpone for 2 months while he recovered from a heart attack that he had on August 24th. Adam started his stem cell transplant on November 8th and had to live 5 minutes from Mayo Clinic as an outpatient while he went through the processes. He did end up in the hospital for 6 days during that time as an inpatient due to his heart going into afib. Adam was able to return home on December 11th to finish his recovery. Which can take up to 6 months to a year. We are so very humble and thankful for all your prayers. We truly believe that He is with us every step of the way. Thank you!! Love and hugs to all!
