Adam's Cancer Journey
On May 4, 2016 Adam was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer. From the beginning Adam and his wife Leah knew there was no cure, but his amazing team of doctors were optimistic they could prolong his life with treatment. And throughout years of treatments and procedures, and all the side effects that come along with that, he never lost his positive spirit or sense of humor.

"Everyone always tells me they don't know how I'm doing so well but I cannot take any of the credit. Adam makes it so easy with his positive additude and his ambitious outlook on life. I couldn't do it without him." - Leah in a 2019 Facebook post

From the initial diagnosis Adam wasn't afraid for himself, but at the thought of not being there for his wife and daughter. Anyone who knows him knows that they (along with their many animals) are the loves of his life.

Preparing for Adam's Next Big Adventure
In February 2020 Adams doctors determined that they could no longer continue treatment due to the progression of his tumors. His prognosis is that he only has a couple months left.

While they knew there was no cure, Adam and Leah were hopeful they had years of treatment options left, and this news comes as a shock. Almost four years of medical expenses, and little time to prepare for Adam's next step is the reality they're facing. Financial stress is one burden I hope we can lighten, and help to secure Leah and his daughter's future as they make preparations to say goodbye.

The money we raise will be used to help pay off debts, allow Leah to take off work to care for Adam, help provide for his 15-year-old daughter and make preparations for his memorial. Any donation no matter how small will be greatly appreciated, as will prayers and positive thoughts.

Adam and Leah would give the shirts off their backs to any person (or animal) in need, and it's my hope we can give them this gift of peace of mind during what will be very difficult days ahead.

Living Life till the End
Adam isn't scared, he's ready for whatever comes next.  He's been surrounded by tons of friends and family since they found out, and this is the happiest he's been in a while.

Husband, father, animal lover, musician, artist, country man extraordinaire and overall master of badassery, the universe broke the mold when it made Adam.
