Adam Walsh Hospitalized with Rare Condition

Nine days after celebrating the birth of his son, Adam awoke with symptoms that took him to the ER.  A few hours later he is air transported to a hospital, 2 hours from home, where he continues to be treated.

Rhabdomyolysis is a condition in which skeletal muscle tissue dies, releasing substances into the blood that can cause kidney, liver and heart failure if not hospitalized.  While no definitive cause can be determined, it is believed it is associated with his 20+ years as a commercial and residential painter.  A timetable for his return to work is questionable at this point.
