This fundraiser is set up to support Adam Thomas during this difficult time. He is recovering after his accident and surgery, but has a long road ahead. Hopefully this fundraiser can help support his family and him while he is out.

Contributions to this fund are gifts for Representative Thomas and are not campaign contributions.

If you are someone without a special interest in the legislature (you are not a lobbyist, and there isn’t current legislation that affects you differently than Kansans broadly), there are no limits for what can be given. K.S.A. 46-237(a).

If you have a special interest in the legislature, you are limited to $40 in the calendar year, combined with any other gifts previously provided to Representative Thomas. K.S.A. 46-237(a)(1).

Even if you have a special interest in the legislature but have a preexisting personal connection to Representative Thomas that is motivating the gift (as opposed to giving because you know him as a Representative), you can give without limit as a bona fide personal gift. K.A.R. 19-60-3(d)(2)(B).
