On the morning of November 15th, 2020 Adam was involved in a tragic hunting accident which resulted in the amputation of his left lower leg and foot.  The decision to amputate was a difficult one, but made easier by the knowledge that it was the only way for Adam to continue living a fulfilling life as an athlete, business owner, and active father and husband. 

To know Adam is to know the joy of skiing, the love of the backcountry and the fun of friends on a powder day. He has skied his entire life and skiing has truly guided most of his major life decisions (Volkl or Black Crows?? Solomon or Technica??).  Recently he discovered mountain biking, which he finds acts as a perfect bridge from May to November; scratching that lack-of-skiing itch and providing year-round outdoor adventure, thrill and of course, type-2 fun with friends. When he isn't skiing and biking, Adam is running a design-build construction company (which he co-owns and built from the ground up) and spending time with his family and friends - hiking, camping, boating, and cooking amazing food.


Adam is not one to ask for help, but he and his family have been humbled by the outpouring of support from his friends, family, and community.  This fund was created to funnel that energy into one place and relieve some of the financial stress during an already stressful time. The funds generated by this campaign will go directly towards Adam's medical bills, rehab, and speciality prosthetics and care that will keep Adam working and looking forward to hitting the trails and slopes again.
