Adam Sakkinen’s Memorial

On July 7th, the Sakkinen family suffered a tragic and unexpected loss when their dear son and brother, Adam, passed away. To know Adam was to love him. With so many family and friends who truly did love Adam, we want to give him the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and most importantly celebrate his life.
The Sakkinen family is currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Adam's funeral and medical expenses for Adam’s care. The ceremony will be at Birch Hill Rec Center to accommodate the large amount of expected attendees, and the family would like to provide some of Adam’s favorite food for the guests. Funds raised would also be used to help cover other expenses associated with the funeral, as well as to help cover the cost to transport Adam and the family to and from Anchorage during his treatment. We would like to raise $7,500 by July 13th to directly with the cost of the service on Thursday, July 14th. Any donation is greatly appreciated by the family, and would help ease some of the stress during this incredible difficult time. I have seen what the love and support of this incredible community has already done to help lift them up, let’s please continue to do this is any way that we can.
