Family and friends,
As we are all aware, Ali and Alex’s family suffered a heartbreaking death this year, their son Adam. Many of us have been left wondering what can we do? We just want to make it all better. Of course, we cannot fix anything. All we can do is support Ali and Alex however we can- by listening, talking about Adam, and remembering Adam.
One way to help remember Adam is by contributing to the purchase of his memorial park bench. After Adam died, Ali spent a lot of the summer at a dog park in Middleton. She brought Sage and Xavi there with her and watched them play while she wrote in her journal, processing her grief. We hope that having the bench will help a little bit with grief and closure. A place where they can visit the bench and feel connected to Adam. Ali and Alex will be able to choose what is written on the 3” by 5” plaque on the bench.
The cost of the bench is $1600. This includes the pouring of concrete and drilling the bench into the concrete. Because concrete needs to be poured in warmer weather, the project cannot start until April or May of 2020 and the money will not be due to the city of Middleton until then.
This will be a gift from all of us- her friends and family. We hope that by coming together, we can make this bench possible! If there are any leftover funds, they will go to a fundraiser or charity of Ali and Alex’s choosing.
