I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my co-worker and friend, Adam MacDonald, and his family.

Anyone who knows Adam knows the kind of person he is. He is selfless to his core — the first to step up when someone needs help, and the last to ever ask for anything in return. Adam gives countless hours to his community, volunteering with minor hockey and supporting his local rink, always making time for others despite a busy life of his own. He is a devoted husband and a proud father of two.

In December 2025, Adam received the devastating diagnosis of diffuse metastatic adenocarcinoma of the stomach. This is an aggressive and incurable cancer. While there is no cure, Adam is currently undergoing treatment with the goal of slowing or stalling the progression of the disease and maximizing quality time with his family.

The funds raised through this campaign will help Adam and his family pursue a second medical opinion and potential treatment options at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. In addition, donations will assist with the significant costs associated with his ongoing treatment, travel, and daily living expenses—particularly if Adam becomes unable to work during his illness.
