Adam Matusz died tragically on Friday June 6th 2025 mountain climbing in the Tatra mountains that borders Slovakia and Poland. He was only 45 years old...

I cannot explain how devastating this is for his family and friends.

Adam grew up in Poland but he and is wife Maja had a bug for travel and spent a lot of their early years traveling Europe, England and then settling in Australia. Both their two kids Hania and Kuba were born in Australia and they have established a wide community of family and friends there. In 2018 they decided to make the move back to Poland so they could be closer to family.

Adam was always a climber and an explorer. He was happiest on top of a mountain. He loved a challenge and was always planning his next adventure. If you were lucky enough to know him you would know that he was extremely passionate and had an infectious and positive energy that made you thinking you wanted more. You would often find him in deep conversations about fixing the world over a campfire... being a silly larrikan cracking a joke, or busting out with a naked bum photo bomb. :) He definately lived life to the fullest and everyone who knew him loved him.

Adam was a brother to many friends but was adored by his 3 sisters, a loving husband to Maja and a super hero father to his two kids, Hania (16) and Kuba (13). This loss is hard to understand at times and is going to be a wound that may never heal.

I am starting this go fund me page so that his family and friends abroad may want to help support his family as they plan their next move in their new reality.

As Maja no longer has an Australian bank account the funds will be directed to Karen Couter and then transfered to Maja.
