Adam passed away unexpectedly on Saturday 2/23/25. He was raised in Artesia and played for the Bulldog Basketball team in high school. According to him basketball was life. He love all sports but his passion was basketball. Playing, watching, coaching or listening to a podcast about it, he didn’t care. He loved it so much he coached little league without having a kid playing!! He enjoyed helping kids develop their skills and a love of the game so much he made it his career. He genuinely loved his job at the center, his employees too. He’d get so excited before drafts and stay up till 3 am making schedules and teams. He’d show off all the new flags every fall for football season, and was super excited about the new fancy color basketballs. Every once in a while he’d mention getting rid of the couch in his office but then a kid would come sit and talk to him for 30 minutes and he’d decide to keep it. His office was open to any kid in town anytime. The neighborhood kids all knew him by name and knew he’d be there for them. The whole town did.
Right now we’re asking for any support to help us take care of his funeral and final expenses. Thank you all for the love and support we’ve received so far.
Viewing and Celebration of Life will be at the center March 7th. Viewing at 11, services at 2.
