Heaven gained another angel, Adam Daniel Joseph Gannon "Nicole Canova," at the age of 33, on August 10th. Adam graduated from Coventry High School in 2007 and received a degree in cosmetology in 2009. Adam had a passion for life, family, friends and entertainment. He was the light of every room he would walk into. Adam knew how to touch the hearts of any one who came across his path, leaving nothing but smiles.

Adam was well known in the LGBTQ community as Nicole Canova; bringing glitz, glamour, and big hair to any stage. He fell in love with art of drag, pageantry and entertained crowds throughout Northern and Central Ohio. Nicole hosted many variety shows at venues across the region performing to his favorites: Whitney, Celine and Ariana. Nicole was crowned Miss Gay Akron Newcomer, Miss Akron Big & Beautiful, and placed Top 10 at the Akron Pride Drag Battle among other accomplishments. 

Adam enjoyed the time he spent with his drag sisters. He was a fan favorite in the dressing room for his love of hair. He has taken many of wigs over the years and turned them into master pieces. He loved dressing his drag sisters at pageants, enjoying a cocktail with his friends and going out when he wasn’t scheduled to perform. 

His impact as Addee and legacy as Nicole will be felt by his family and friends forever. 

The Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 22nd starting at 5:30 PM at Cocktails Akron with a drag show to follow starting at 7:00 PM. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle, donations and show tips will go to cover funeral and cremation services. Remaining proceeds will benefit the B. Riley Sober House of Cleveland.
