Asher touched the hearts of thousands with his sign on the Ashgate Hospice Sparkle Walk, ‘My Dad is in Ashgate, Thank you!’ Sadly Adam passed away just 2 days later, at 40 years old, leaving behind, daughters Violet (16), April (14) and son Asher (9) and two adult step children.
Adam was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer called Thoracic SMARCA-4 deficient undifferentiated tumour just before Christmas 2025. There is only one other case of this type of cancer in the UK. He went into Ashgate Hospice on June 21 and passed away on June 29.
Since passing, we have been made aware that we are unable to access any of Adam’s funds due to needing to reapply to Adam’s pensions etc, this has thrown a huge spanner in the works as Adam thought everything was organised financially for his funeral, so no extra stress was put on the family while they are grieving.
We feel that Adam should have the send off he deserves and one that the children can attend and say goodbye to their Dad knowing he was loved by many.
We understand times are hard for everyone and this is a very last resort, so any donations, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated.
I have attached the link to the Derbyshire Times article on Adam too, and another to Violets beautiful post about her Dad so you can see how incredible Adam was. Derbyshire Times
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts x
