Adam Devine's Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Friends and family, as many of you already know, my good friend Adam Devine is going through hell right now. Several months ago he was diagnosed with a terminal form of blood and bone marrow cancer known as multiple myeloma. To exacerbate things, the myeloma has brought on cryoglobulinemia, which is abnormal proteins in the blood, which can cause external and internal lesions--the latter being very dangerous if it effects the lungs, brain, or heart. To top it off, the myeloma has also gifted our friend with osteoporosis, so he’s got that going for him.
Adam has undergone radiation therapy to reduce the six-centimeter tumor on his hip, and has just started bi-weekly chemotherapy sessions to diminish the myeloma (though this will not cure it indefinitely).
For those of you who do not know Adam Devine, he is a husband and a father of two amazing girls, and an amazing person who has been there for me through it all, for damn near my entire life. Now Adam, being Adam, is taking this all in stride, but as I’m sure you can imagine, all of this is taking an untold toll on him physically and on he and his family, emotionally and financially. I for one would like to do anything I can to help him and his family, and I’m asking all of you to please do what you can to help as well. Battling something like this is not only a true trial of spirit and will, but a financial burden I’d wish on no one. Please donate what you can to help the Devine’s through this. Every little bit counts.
Thank you all!
