Adam Burkhalter Memorial Fund

My Father-in-law Adam Burkhalter was involved in a terrible car accident April 20th on Jackson Lake Road. He was life flighted to Grady Hospital where he stayed on one of the trauma icu floors starting his journey to recovering. Adam sustained multiple injuries from the waist up including but not limited to skull fracture, brain bleed, broken facial bones, fractured vertebrae, severe damage to his right hand, internal injuries to his heart and lungs, as well as multiple broken ribs. Despite all the injuries he faced he continued to improve and recover. He was able to be discharged home from the hospital to spend time with all the ones he loved most. Little did we know that time would be limited. Monday May 6th just 4 short days after coming home from the hospital Adam went to be with the Lord and is no longer in any pain or suffering. Despite showing so much improvement and hopes for a full recovery he passed away due to complications from his car accident. Adam was a Husband, a Father, a Grandfather, and a friend to anyone he met. He was the life of the party and loved to crack jokes just to make anyone laugh or smile. I have created this GoFundMe in order to help the family cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and any other necessities as they navigate through such a huge loss.
