Adam Biederman's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kayla. I am starting this GoFundMe page to help Adam Biederman, my brother inlaw and his family as he recovers from his accident. I am doing this in conjunction with his family, friends, and co-workers at Empirical Foods.
On the evening of August 8th, Adam was involved in a severe moped accident involving a collision with a full-sized pickup truck, leaving him in critical condition in the ICU. Adam's process of recovery in the hospital is currently unknown at this time. Adam has been and is presently heavily sedated; he has undergone two long extensive surgeries and is in the process of being transported to Omaha for a third surgery in an attempt to save his right leg. Adam has some swelling throughout his brain and body and is being monitored very thoroughly. Due to the accident, Adams's right arm was broken and put into a soft cast for the time being. With the accident's trauma and the surgeries' swelling, Ana and the family will have to wait a few more days until the ICU team gives the okay to try and indepently lower Adam's sedation medications. We know that Adam will need several more extensive surgeries and scans done. We ask for continued prayers as Adam has a long, challenging journey ahead of him.
Adam's wife Ana, daughter Kenyah and family have spent most of their time at the hospital with him since the accident. If you know Adam and Ana, they are always ready to lend their helping hands to anyone in need, but rarely will they ask for a lending hand. People often feel helpless in these difficult situations and say, "let me know if there is anything I can help with..." And more often than not, the family will not ask for help because they are uncertain of what they need. As Adam will likely have months of in-patient recovery and rehabilitation, the family is asking for donations to help alleviate any unforeseen incidentals, such as medical bills, travel expenses and daily/ monthly expenses that will add up quickly. This fundraiser is being started so Ana and her family do not have to worry about financial hardships and they can be with Adam as much as possible during his recovery.
Adam has done so much for so many people. This GoFundMe is a chance for all of us to support Adam and his family while he recovers from his injuries. Adam is tough and determined, and he will overcome what challenges lie ahead. Please join in supporting Adam, Ana and Kenyah in this time of need. If you are unable to give, please share and continue to uplift The Biederman Family in your prayers.
Updates on Adam's Recovery will be posted on the CaringBridge site that Kayla has started. The CaringBridge site is: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/adamsrecovery
Thank you again for supporting Adam and his family during this difficult time!
