Hi, my name is Jane, initially I asked for help towards donations for this GoFundMe to Help with the unexpected funeral costs and incurring kennel/rehoming bills..I have since been up to Scotland myself to collect Adam’s ashes as I would have been looking at 12 weeks if I’d of opted for the funeral home to send to me. Unfortunately, I have not been able to arrange a memorial service for My Son due to lack of funds and having to pay for the cremation upfront I also had to find the money to travel to Scotland to be able to collect his belongings and bring adam home to me as you can all appreciate 685 miles is a long way when travelling up by car. So we went up on the Friday and came home on the Sunday on the way home a lady who I have become very close friends with now got in touch with me telling me that she was going to see if Cooper could get on with her children and her dog Major. If Cooper got along, she would be allowed to take him home well it went better than planned and Cooper has found his new friend in major who keeps Cooper in check it was a very surreal moment because I had adam‘s ashes between my daughter and myself on the backseat of my car heading home to Kent and Cooper was heading to his new home at exactly the same time and it just turns out that it was actually his birthday on that day also! After being told by Scottish CID that it was quite possible that Cooper would have to be destroyed. My heart just broke again and again because Cooper was just a gentle giant and such a big goofy lump. It just seemed unfair for them to even suggest that to me, but I kept in regular talks with the kennels weekly checking up to make sure he was okay and that he was still there but he was ready more than ready to find his new Home now when I see Cooper running around in the fields and woods I see my son in him. This is the story of My Son❤️….

My Son Adam sadly passed away on the 29th of January 2026 at the age of 33,years . From a very young age adam fought drug addiction and all the demons that came with it. Six years ago he moved to Scotland from his home town of Deal Kent for a fresh start and at times the future did look positive for him especially with his new companion& best friend, Cooper,his beloved Cane Corso ,who remained loyal and by his side till the very end. You could see Adam out walking along the beach or through the beautiful countryside sharing long walks together with Cooper.

During his time in Scotland he would turn his hand to almost anything working as a roofer,painting and decorating,and more recently at a major animal food company trying to escape his demons and turn his life around, to the Adam we all knew who was cheeky ,adventurous,kind,caring,with a zest for life and who could also play the guitar with such feeling and love throughout each chord . Adam wished to become an advocate raising awareness of drug addiction.

Unfortunately Adam was unable to break the chain of his addiction,and his life was so cruelly cut short by this disease,leaving a huge void in our world and the hearts of all who loved him.He was so intelligent and loved the great outdoors spending hr after hr videoing the sea,moons,sunsets,wildlife cooper and of course his love of cooking so even with there being nearly 700 miles between us it felt like I was by his side every single day ,that’s how close we were.His sister used to look forward to her big brother’s updates on all the different moon phases as this was something they both were passionate about.

Adam also felt the need to pack us of to the sea life centre,all expenses paid/reason ,”I just want you and my little sister to go out and enjoy the day n know how much I love you “!

we are still no closer to finding out the cause of death and won’t know until the post mortem report comes in ?

please I ask if you could read my story,so you can get an insight of just how precious a life is ,there one minute,gone the next All I have now are memories which I will hold onto forever.
