Adam and Alexa’s road to recovery

Donation protected

After a beautiful Christmas holiday filled with joy, love, and lots of laughter, unfortunately ended in tragedy.

My big brother, Adam and his fiancé, Alexa and their little fur baby; Charlie, got in a violent car accident Monday afternoon on the 5 and 118 freeway on their way home from work. During the heavy rain Southern California experienced that day, the truck spun out, lost control, hit a tree, rolled down an embankment. Adam was ejected out of the car suffering a collapsed/punctured lung, 8 broken ribs, and some bleeding in the brain. He will be released from the hospital in a few days but due to Covid we are not allowed to visit or see him. His fiancé is home with us now and has a broken collarbone and severe neck and back pain.

We are very grateful and blessed to have Adam and Alexa alive today with us with no apparent life long injuries. However, it is with very sad and heavy hearts that Charlie, Adam and Alexa’s pride and joy, and a very dear family companion, did not survive the accident. Charlie had just turned 1.

We are setting up a GoFundMe for Adam and Alexa that will help cover any medical bills that will incur and to help purchase another form of transportation.

We know due to Covid that times are tough right now and money is tight, if you cannot donate, please, any thoughts and prayers will be very much appreciated as we help Adam and Alexa get through this time of healing their minds, bodies, and spirits.

If you personally know my family and my brother Adam, you know that he has had his fair share of trials and tribulations throughout his life. This past year Adam has made some serious drastic changes to his life which has lead him closer to God and to much happiness and success. His dear Charlie boy was an anchor and motivator for his life decisions and was with Adam throughout his journey for a better life filled with light and joy. Additionally, Adam had worked really hard and bought this new truck a few months ago which he was very happy and proud of.

As Adam’s little brother, it absolutely breaks my heart that the things he was most proud of suddenly and violently got taken away from him, especially his baby boy who he had such a strong bond with.

We know nothing can bring back Charlie, but if you feel so inclined to help Adam and Alexa get back on their feet; every little bit is SO MUCH appreciated. ♥️ they will have a long recovery, not only in body but also their hearts.

“Adam, you are the toughest person we know!”
