Our father, Jerry Wilson, recently suffered another heart attack and now requires significant changes to his home so he can safely continue his recovery. Jerry is a lifelong hemophiliac, which means he needs specialized care and a safe environment to avoid any injuries or complications. After his latest health setback, it’s become clear that his current bathroom is not suitable for his needs, and we need to make it ADA accessible as soon as possible.
Jerry is an active member of his church, where he enjoys preparing the weekly prayer sheet, and he’s also involved in local community politics. He’s always been someone who gives back, and now he needs support from those around him. The renovation will involve completely gutting the existing bathroom, installing a walk-in shower that can accommodate his shower chair, and moving the sink to make the space accessible and safe for his daily care routines.
We’ve explored rehab facilities, but due to the complexity of Jerry’s medication for hemophilia, finding a suitable place has been nearly impossible. Making these changes at home is our best and only option to ensure he receives the care he needs. Any support will help us create a safe space for Jerry and allow him to focus on his recovery surrounded by family and friends.
