Accessible Bridges and Trails at Preserves
Tax deductible
Join us in making a difference to benefit the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust (KRLT), and any donation will help make an impact in helping our preserves become accessible to all!
We are planning to replace the current trail systems and bridges so those who have wheelchairs may also enjoy the beauty of the Kinni River at Kelly Creek and The Community Forest (which is adjoined to The School Forest). Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
Your donation will go towards the supplies and labor of building the ADA accessible bridges and trails:
· a handicapped trail from the Kelly Creek parking lot to the spring overlook (approx..1000 ft), including slope and surface material design.
· a small bridge at Kelly Creek (able to support light maintenance equipment) to cross an intermittent stream.
· a 12 ft x 12 ft viewing platform with rails and a bench which would overlook the Kelly Creek spring.
· a multi-use bridge that connects the City of River Falls trail system to the Community Forest Trail system -bridge will be able support light maintenance equipment.

Vision: We see a cold, clear and clean river, and a watershed, where an informed citizenry ensures that healthy ecological, economic, and social systems coexist in perpetuity.
Mission "Working with the community to protect the natural resources and scenic beauty of the Kinnickinnic River watershed."
The Kinnickinnic River is a beautiful and healthy trout stream flowing through River Falls and western Wisconsin. It is surrounded by scenic bluffs, native prairie, family farms, and forests. It is home to rare and endangered plant species and plenty of open space and scenic vistas. The river has been designated a Class I Trout Stream worth protecting.
The Kinnickinnic River Land Trust has protected more than 3,000 acres of land and ten miles of shoreline along the river since 1993. The nonprofit conservancy works with the community to preserve natural resources and scenic beauty.
Our board, staff, and members are dedicated to ensuring this river remains healthy for future generations. We invite you to learn more about the Kinnickinnic River and support our efforts!
