For more than seven years, Andras Szekely has slept in the back of his 2007 Toyota minivan, one of the few belongings he ad left after a complicated divorce left him bankrupt and homeless.

Since 2012, he has kept his plight hidden from all who knew him even his employer as he felt ashamed that they would learn he was sleeping in his van every night and showering at the YMCA after he was finished for the day with his job that he treasures as a driver for disabled students in Coatesville not far from Philadelphia.  He hid is situation because he was not ashamed so much , but he was proud and that stems from his Hungarian upbringing. He can't afford an apartment on $1600 a month and the occasional extra money he makes as a freelance photographer.   So between both stories we had an angel reach out and that angel is Nancy who gave Andras a warm bed, roof over his head for a short term period. However  now that period is coming to an end.  Nancy's house has been rented and she is downsizing  so it is critical we LIFT UP to give Andras a permanent roof where he can feel secure and do his beloved photography and teach other as well.

How do I fit into this picture?   I was contacted by  Caroline who found out about Andras and asked me to confirm his background as a talented photographer which he is and his cards that he does are simply magnificent as he has the eye that it takes.  So  the story first surfaced on SAVVY Main Line written by Caroline Mangan O'Halloran the Founding Editor and Publisher time moved on and the story was next covered by Matt Silver a writer for the Jewish Exponent and shared by Caroline and that is how I became involved with Andras and his story ~~ I am a publicist in the Philadelphia area who reached out to the press most notably FOX who send out Bill Anderson to do he story on him for his "For Goodness Sake" segments. So this Friday we do have one surprise for him and that will remain a secret until Friday ~ My webmaster Paul Huss  owner of Copper Shark has donated his time to build him a new website,  we also have angels from Thomas Matthew Designs who will assist in furnishing his apartment and that is  our goal here to find him a warm, safe environment for Andras.
