Hope For A New Beginning
Donation protected
Hello All! Its Blake, Lana Gibson’s little brother. I just wanted to update everyone and also thank the people
who have donated and shared the GoFundMe so far. Lana and our family can’t thank you enough. We know it’s tough out here and it’s not easy, but we appreciate every single one of you from the bottom of our hearts.
The Holidays are around the corner and she was asked to move out by 11/30/20 unless she could sign a 6 month or 1 year lease. Unfortunately, without a job she can’t rent another home. She’s still waiting on unemployment that was filed on 9/13 after she was permanently laid off. My sister would like to stay where she is for another 6 months until she’s on her feet again with a job and consistent income because she doesn’t have another place to go, not even temporarily. She is not allowed to stay at her current home unless a lease is signed.
In hopes of finding employment soon, she needs to be able to pay rent ($1600.00) and her monthly bills for the time being. The goal amount set is what it costs her to cover rent and monthly bills for 2 months. She continues to send resumes and had several unsuccessful interviews, but she’s still keeping her head above water waiting on that one job to come through for her.
She applied for state benefits and she was only approved for energy assistance that covers the electric bill and food benefits. Temporary cash assistance was denied because of the $100 weekly child support that she doesn’t receive on a consistent basis.
All that know her, knows what she’s been through and she deserves all the help she can get. We know a lot of people are not alone in this kind of situation, but my sister, niece and nephew have lost so much already, a step father and our father. My sisters heart deserves happiness and she’s doing the best she can like she always has, but she needs help. I don’t want to see her lose the home she’s made hers for the last year.
I’ve done what I’ve could to help and this is the last resort. We will always appreciate any donations. We will appreciate the consistent shares as well, anything that can help my sister and her children. If you have any questions or would like to speak to me directly, please text/call [phone redacted] or send a Facebook message.
And once again, to the people who have shared and/or donated so far, We really can’t thank you enough.
God Bless You All,
