Hi my name is Joshua, Back in July I started getting really sick and having bad leg and back pain. Going to the emergency room multiple times a week, for them to just tell me that I have these crazy lesions on my bones that was caused from covid and then sent home with pain meds and told that they can’t figure it out. Soo with that being said after multiple hospital stays at about 5 different hospitals and my oncologist telling me that they have ruled out cancer, Kettering hospital finally figured out I needed a second opinion on this disease, and called out to OSU where I was transferred right away! When arriving at 10 o’clock at night there was over 10 drs that I had seen that night and multiple test ran for them to come back a few days later with my diagnosis of a rare cancer called acute myloyd leukemia cancer. It’s a rare blood cancer that lives in the bone marrow, my cancer has progressed and managed to make it out of the marrow to other parts of my body around my brain in my spinal fluid, spine, testicular area as well as my bones. I still have a long journey ahead of me. Few months and many rounds of chemo, to a bone marrow transplant, to staying in a hotel for two months after my transplant, I’m only asking for donations to help my family and I as we go through all these long trips to Columbus three times a week to help pay bills and relieve some of the stress of now living paycheck to paycheck. Any and everything will help and we are thankful and grateful for all of our wonderful friends and family who have been reaching out to help and check on us!
