Acute B Cell Leukemia won't define me!

Hi everyone, my name is Michael Rocco. A couple days ago my son Weston was diagnosed with Acute B Cell Leukemia. He is 24 years old and the news of this sent a shock wave through our family. We immediately prayed to our Heavenly Father and reached out to family and friends. The outpouring of love from you all have blessed us tremendously. You have wrapped and bound us together with your outstretched arms filled with love, tenderness, faithfulness and compassion.
This is my praise report. Weston has made it through his second day of treatment. There is still some nausea but the physicians have made great strides on the type of treatment he is to have. We have met Tucson's finest Healthcare Providers at Banner University Medical Center. It is such an impressive team of health care givers.
Westons white cell count of over 480,000 is coming down at a steady rate. For the first time today he was able to walk with assistance down the hallway. We all cried, just texting about it now brings incredible joy to my heart and soul. I have to continually fight back the tears, but most of the time I just hold him and he gets Me through it. Weston is such a strong young man.
Our Heavenly Father has heard the prayers and is giving him back to us. Michelle, his Mom, said he walked through the valley, and is now safely on the other side. His color is back, his spirit is lifted, and we have every reason to give praise to our Lord and Savior and to incredible team of professionals at Westons side.
His desires to finish his degree in nutrition at the U of A are within his reach. He's a smart young man with tremendous focus and a strong determination to finish what he started. Still going forward with competitive body building. His third competition is in November of next year. His closest friend is here from Buffalo NY to see him through his treatment and encourage him to keep that commitment. He expressed to Ahna, his fiance, that she means the world to him and he wants longevity of life with her. Marriage and children are of the utmost importance to them.
His brothers are faithful and strong. Rocked by the news but doing everything in their ability to show and express their love. Each son holds a special place in mine and Michelle's heart. It's as if we've been living with the Four Musketeers the past 24 years. It's all for one and one for all here!
Thank you all for your immediate prayers and continual love and affection for our family.
M&M Rocco.
