Help Bill Rose Recover from Trucking Accident Costs
Hi, my name is Bill Rose. Many of my friends in Bowmanville and Oshawa, Ontario, may know me as a Karaoke or Open Mic Host. But beyond that, I’m a professional driver—something I take great pride in and truly enjoy. I had just gotten back on the road with my “new to me” rig, working hard to keep the bills paid and do what I love.
Unfortunately, on the morning of February 7th, while driving east through Montana, I was snow-blinded by an aggressively passing driver. In that split second, I lost sight of his truck in front of me in the live lane. If you’ve ever seen those harrowing winter accident videos on Instagram, you know what can happen next. I was lucky—aside from some soft tissue damage to my right hand, there were no major injuries. But my truck didn’t fare as well.
UPDATE: The truck has been assessed and the total repair costs are $84k usd. This will be over the value of the truck and my investment. I have yet to speak with the Insurance Adjuster, but will have to pay the deductible.
I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and anyone who understands the struggles of this industry. If you’re able to contribute even a small amount, it would mean the world to me. Every donation will help cover these unexpected costs and get me back on the road. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would be a huge help.
Thank you for reading, for your support, and for helping me move forward.
