Hi! We are working on getting Jakoby a Action TrackChair. Jakoby is 10 years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. DMD is a muscle wasting disease, and Jakoby slowly losing his muscle function, despite our best efforts to keep it! We are an active family living in Colorado, and it is getting very difficult for Jakoby to be able enjoy fishing trips, camping and hiking with us, or even just a walk up the road. His balance and strength are both safety issues. He is too heavy to carry safely on many hikes, and the backpack is no longer comfortable for him. He will also be able to traverse our yard much more safely with his TrackChair, and get to many places that are not accessible with his regular powerchair. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
