Why I have chosen Action for Children

Neglect is only one of the many aspects that this charity is about, however it is one that stands out to me. Since November 2024, I’ve spent two days each week in Early Years settings. 1 in every 10 of the children that I have spent my time with are affected by neglect (one of the most common forms of abuse)- that is a UK statistic. Neglect can include factors such as a lack of food, safety, shelter, clothing, medical care and love. No child should be deprived of these things. I hope to become a primary school teacher in the future. Children affected by this form of abuse that I might teach one day could be given support by this charity. Every pound donated makes difference!

My event

I have chosen to do a 10 km hike along the coast of Cornwall this May half term. I would be really grateful to be sponsored by you.
