Only one in every six children with a disability attends school in Kenya. Many face not only barriers to access but also challenges in receiving a quality, relevant, and fairly assessed education. Action for Children with Disabilities Society (ACD) found this reality deeply troubling and discriminatory, and they work tirelessly to close this gap by empowering children with disabilities through education, healthcare, advocacy, and community awareness. Through their initiatives, ACD strives to create a society where every child is valued, included, and given the chance to reach their full potential.
For the 2025/2026 Warwick Africa Summit Community Impact Project, we are proud to partner with Action for Children with Disabilities Society (ACD) to champion their mission. Together, we aim to raise a minimum of £2,500 to promote inclusion, equal opportunities, and lasting change for children living with disabilities across Kenya.
Thank you for your generous donation!
Your contribution will transform lives by giving children with disabilities the education, support, and confidence they need to thrive and shape their own futures. Your money will help to:
- Provide learners with disabilities in rural schools with inclusive learning materials and assistive devices.
- Train policymakers, teachers, and caregivers in disability-inclusive practices that ensure every child receives quality education and care.
- Advocate for policy reforms that protect and uplift every child with a disability.
- Raise awareness within communities to reduce stigma and promote acceptance of children with disabilities.
Together, we are building a more inclusive and equitable tomorrow, one child at a time.
