Today, we are fighting this battle in our community—just as others across the U.S. are fighting similar battles against hazardous lithium energy storage sites being placed near homes, schools, and critical infrastructure. Without proper regulations and ordinances, tomorrow, it could be your community facing the same threat.

BLESSIN, grassroots 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to stopping a dangerous lithium battery storage facility proposed in our neighborhood. These facilities are highly volatile, prone to fires and explosions, and pose unacceptable risks to residents and emergency responders. With only one evacuation route, a disaster here would be catastrophic.

This proposed site sits dangerously close to a major Amtrak rail line and Interstate 5, meaning any incident would cripple transportation in both directions. In addition to safety concerns, the facility would emit a constant, disruptive humming, negatively impacting the well-being of all nearby residents. No on-site personnel means the facility is vulnerable to sabotage, increasing risks even further.

Our local government has actively opposed this project—yet the company bypassed the community by exploiting a state-level approval loophole. We must act NOW to stop this project before it’s too late!
