Hi everyone. My cat Loki has had a urinary obstruction before, but has gotten another one. Yesterday we brought him in to get unblocked, but has gotten blocked again, and is currently in for another quick emergency unblocking/flushing. He will need surgery to open up his urethra so when he gets any crystals, they will pass through. With this surgery, he should be fully healthy and able to pass through these crystals with no issue, but without it he could pass away from constant blockings that cannot be covered. UPDATE: Loki is home and doing okay right now. He’s been cuddling me and has peed a few times! He has his surgery scheduled for Monday morning. He will be getting a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU).
