At about this time last year, I was sitting in my room, contemplating what I was going to do with my time now that my gymnastics career was potentially over. My partnership had abruptly ended, and I was heartbroken. After six months of trying to discover who I was without gymnastics, I received a call from my coach asking if I would take the place of a gymnast who was unable to finish out the year. After thinking long and hard about his invitation, I agreed, and am now a part of an elite womens pair scheduled to compete in Geneva, Switzerland May 2-9th. This series of events has been a whirlwind, and I have not had much time to fundraise, as we received the invitation from USA Gymnastics to compete internationally only two months ago. Any donation that you give will be greatly appreciated. It will be possible for you to see my partner Lally and me compete in Switzerland via live stream. We are working very hard, and I know we will make you proud.

After recovering from my injury my partner Lally and I competed in Rhode Island in the Acro National Championships and won the gold. We are now members of the USA Gymnastics National Team and will compete for Team USA Internationally for the next year. Our first Team USA assignment is in Warsau, Poland, October 2-10th. We will compete Internationally until June of 2017. Who knows....we may get to Switzerland afterall. Whatever the assignment.....We will be ready--we will make you proud.

I'll keep you posted on our progress!!!!! All the practice, hard work, sacrifices... I am trully blessed to have this opportunity.
Thank you so much for your help,
Sam
