UPDATE APRIL 18, 2022
Within a few days of being in Colorado Jessica is out of the ICU and doing a lot better. She has a long road ahead of her for recovery but she’s awake now. She will still be in Colorado for a bit so any help and prayers are very appreciated. Thanks to all of you for your support. 

UPDATE April 14, 2022
Jessica was flighted to Colorado for more advanced care on Monday. Since being there she has improved tremendously. Everyone’s prayers have been heard and we thank you all so much. She still has a long road a head of her and any donations will help with her medical bills and say to day bills that have been building since she has missed so much work. Thank you all. 

UPDATE APRIL 3rd, 2022
A little update on Jessica. She had some complications with her surgery. She is in the ICU. We are asking for thoughts and prayers. Any donations will go towards her medical bills that are coming from her stay in the hospital and to help cover the cost of her household bills.

My good friend Jessica needs a little help. She never asks for anything and helps everyone she can, now is our time to help her.

 

She has battled with Gastroparesis since 2010 and it has become severe now and surgery is the only option. Gastroparesis is a condition that affects the normal spontaneous movement of the muscles (motility) in your stomach. Ordinarily, strong muscular contractions propel food through your digestive tract. But if you have gastroparesis, your stomach's motility is slowed down or doesn't work at all, preventing your stomach from emptying properly. Her surgery will hopefully drastically change her life for the good.

 

The problem is, she will be out of work for at least 7 days if not more, and then return on light duty. Beings that she is single and only has her income, being off work for anytime kills her bank account. She is worried she will not be able to make her house payment or feed her Cats and Dogs – dogs on special diet. Any money donated will go to medical costs and her daily bills so that she does not lose her home or have utilities cut off. Also with Surgery, her meals will be mostly liquid for quite a while and she needs help getting protein shakes to live off of for future.

 

Jessica has been with her job less than 6 months and does not qualify for any help including Short Term Disability.
