Many of you are aware of the historic floods that have devastated the Baton Rouge Area recently. This is the worst natural disaster to hit the United States since Hurricane Sandy. Baton Rouge experienced almost 7 billion gallons of rain in one week. The flood was so historic that many of the people that lost or had damage to their homes did not have or require flood insurance, as they were not in an established flood plain. Thousands have lost everything, displaced from their homes or remain without power in extremely hot and humid conditions.
AD Building Materials has learned that one of our members and friends Acoustical Specialties in Baton Rouge was an unfortunate casualty of this devastation. Speaking with Steve DeLaune, President of Acoustical Specialties, he and a majority of his employees have had major water damage to their homes, cars and possessions. Again, many of these people did not have flood insurance.
As a gesture of support, we have set up this Go Fund Me page, for those who would like to donate to the Acoustical Specialties employees that were affected by the flood. Steve DeLaune will identify those that were affected and distribute the funds appropriately among them.
We would like to thank you in advance for your support and donations in helping these folks start the rebuilding process.
Sincerely, Dave, Dan, Mary and Carrie AD Building Materials Team
