A Couple Against Cancer

For us, just as it does for many of you, family always comes first. Our parents, Mark and Anna (Shelly) Bagnoli have always done everything in their power to take care of me and my 4 siblings, and now more than ever they are in need of some of the same assistance and support they are always offering to others. Both mom and dad have been diagnosed with cancer within months of each other. Together they have faced many obstacles, and this is no different as they join together in their fight against cancer.
In September of 2016 my father was diagnosed with throat cancer, and recently this year my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. My father recently finished his chemotherapy and radiation. We are now praying his results come back in June cancer free.
My mother was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. During a routine mammogram they found two lumps in her breast. We are now awaiting the results of an MRI to determine whether or not she will be undergoing a lumpectomy or mastectomy. Her surgery is scheduled for the day after Mother’s day.
My mother is the strongest person I know. Along with her current cancer diagnoses she has been living with chronic illnesses for over ten years. My mother has been living with Sjögren's syndrome, osteoarthritis, and Trigeminal neuralgia. All are very painful illnesses. Yet she continues to remain positive even though everyday is a painful struggle.
Together my mother and father have overcome many struggles through their 34 years of marriage. Yet they are now facing their biggest struggle both physically and financially. Those of you who know my parents know they are hard working individuals. In fact they have both continued to work through their diagnoses and treatment, and plan to continue working. As many of you know however, insurance only goes so far, out of pocket expenses add up quickly and financial stresses only add to an already difficult situation.
We are hoping to raise 20k for both their treatments. Truly every little bit helps. If you are unable to donate we understand and ask that you share our go fund me page with others. Thank you for all your support and prayers.
