Hello! My name is Krista - the mother of USMC LCpl Jake “Slim” Meinert who was KIA in Afghanistan on 10 Jan 2010

After the loss of my son, the mountains have brought me authentic happiness.

My daughter and I will be going on this journey together to climb Aconcagua - the highest mountain in the world outside the Himalaya and is in the famed “Seven Summits”. We will be going with TAPS, an organization for survivors of military loss.
