ACL Surgery for Goliath

2 months ago our dog Goliath tore his left LCL (dog version of an ACL). He had to get a specific procedure called TPLO surgery which, without pet insurance, cost $4300 (with the surgery, meds and additional xrays putting the total over 5k).
we bought pet insurance on him, but it doesn’t kick in until 6 months after the policy date (07/23/20). today he tore his other ACL. his insurance isn’t effective for another 4 months which means this surgery is completely out of pocket. I work full time as a firefighter, part time as a behavior therapist and I’m nowhere near capable of paying for this on my own.
