Ackel Strong - Hurricane Laura Relief

On August 27th Hurricane Laura and related weather destroyed my father's barn, apartments, and livelihood. My father, Don Ackel, is 87 years old and has been developing his property (my home) for over 50 years breeding, training and racing thoroughbred horses. The hurricane has left him without electricity and running water for a minimum of three months. Roads are blocked, stores are closed and since he is in the country it is not getting the media attention and resources that cities are receiving. My goal is to do whatever I can to help support and give him hope for the future. My dad would never ask for help or charity of any kind but my brother, Kye, and I wanted to create this gofundme to assist him.
My father lives in Sulphur LA and I live San Antonio TX, and I am hosting this fundraiser on his behalf. All proceeds of this will go directly to him so he can rebuild and survive these next months. I know that he has already helped his neighbors and will use these funds to assist other local farmers in need.
