ACHS septic system help
Donation protected
The Adams County Humane Society is a small but mighty little shelter out in the country in Adams County Wisconsin. We are on a tight shoe string budget and we make every dollar count. We try and help as many animals each year as we can and find them great loving forever homes. We take in owner surrendered animals from all over the state and we take in many animals throughout the year from overcrowded and high kill shelters so they are not euthanized. People travel several hours to adopt from us and we have a good success rate.
Being a small rural shelter we struggle to make enough money each month. When we have an unexpected maintenance issue come up it can be quite the struggle. Our septic mound system is old and now only half of it is working. With the added extra burden on the half that is working it is only a matter of time before it goes out. We need to replace the system this year, we received the estimate to replace the mound system with an appropriate size we need for the amount of water we use here. The estimate is $15,000 and with the fees GoFundMe take, we are needing to raise about $16,000. Any extra money raised will go to other maintenance that needs to be done here at the Humane Society.
The Adams County Humane Society is a nonprofit 501C3 organization that is run 100% on donations, fundraisers and adoptions. We receive no money from any government agency. Without you and your generous donations we would not be able to save as many animals as we do. We really appreciate all your help.
If we can raise the money to pay for the septic system we wont have to take away money for the animals. Thank you for your support, it really means so much to us.
