Acheive my lifelong dream of becoming a pilot.

Hi, my name is Leon, I’m 15 years old and I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. I’ve only ever wanted one thing - to become a pilot.

Aviation is more than just a fascination to me—it’s a calling. I have spent hours on Flight simulator in my bedroom, watching cockpit videos, and learning about aerodynamics, aircraft systems, and aviation safety. I’ve even started visiting local airfields and volunteering at events whenever I can, just to be closer to the industry and community I one day hope to be a part of. I have spent so far only 2 hours up in the air, yet I can confirm: It is truly my passion. My flight instructor even said that I was an excellent student, and that I would definitely be able to complete the course.

However; learning to fly is incredibly expensive - especially for someone my age. Flying lessons, ground school, and exams all add up fast. (Over 250 pounds per hour!) This results in an overall cost of around 10-15 thousand pounds, just for the Private Pilots Licence (Only the first of many qualifications I need to make it commercial). While I’m working hard and saving everything I can, I simply can’t do it alone.

That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe - to ask for a bit of help getting off the ground.
