Hello beloved family and friends, our names are Alexis & Giovanni, the mom and dad to three fur babies Ace, Judge, & Luna. On Thursday November 9 we had to rush our big guy Ace to the hospital to have a life-saving emergency surgery performed on him. If we didn’t take him in we would have woke up the next morning to our handsome boy passed away. He got diagnosed with the “silent killer” of DVM that, in short, twists the stomach and slowly cuts off blood supply to all his organs. Surgery is the only way survive this occurrence. Since he is 10 and the surgery is high-risk already the doctors told us he was likely to pass on the operating table and we would have to say goodbye to our boy under anesthesia without seeing us one last time. We prayed, we stayed up all night, and we believed in the warrior spirit that Ace embodies everyday of his life and we got a call early on Friday November 10 that our boy made it out alright and the whole day was recovering well! We believed and he fought on.

The price of the surgery was never going to determine if we kept our boy alive or not. Our dogs are our children, souls here on this earth for a reason, and we would do anything for them. We are starting this GoFundMe in effort to go into the winter months with some help from our community. His bills quickly added up to 13k, but we are not here to ask for all of that to be covered, anything helps to get a foot ahead on his road to recovery.
