Hi, my name is Leonie and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beautiful sausage dog Ace. Ace isn’t just a pet — he’s my best friend, my shadow and my comfort on my bad days.

Sadly, he’s recently been diagnosed with a Grade 2 mass tumour in his right leg, and the cancer has also spread to his lymph nodes which I’m heartbroken over the worst news I could of heard off my vet

It all started when Ace kept nibbling on his leg and then a lump appeared and over a couple of months it grew quite big causing discomfort. After several vet visits, scans, and lab tests, we got the devastating news that he had a tumour that needed to be removed as soon as possible. He’s now had surgery to remove the mass, but the fight isn’t over — Ace will now need another surgery called skin reconstruction surgery (skin graph)

and chemotherapy in tablet form to stop the cancer from spreading or returning.

Unfortunately, the cost of his treatment has become overwhelming. Our insurance only covers £4,000 per condition and we’ve already had £3300 leaving £700 left which will not cover the rest of his surgery and treatments he is going to need.

I would do anything to make sure Ace gets the care he deserves. He’s been so brave through everything — still wagging his tail, still trying to play, and still giving kisses even when he’s sore and tired. He’s such a gentle, loving soul who brings joy to everyone he meets.

The estimated cost of his continued treatment and medication is around £4500 and I simply can’t cover it all on my own when Christmas is right round the corner and we have a 10 year old son who absolutely adores his acey boy, we’re devastated. I’m asking for help so Ace can have the best possible chance to live a long, happy, and pain-free life.
