Aces for Earth-Tennis Ball Recycling Program

Donation protected
My name is Emily Samay and I am a freshman at Mountain Lakes High School.  Last year, I joined the MLHS girls tennis team and noticed that there was no where to recycle tennis balls at our courts or in our community. I did some research and discovered that it takes about 400 years for a tennis ball to decompose in the regular trash. That's when I had the idea to start, "Aces for Earth", a tennis ball recycling program.

I am currently working with local municipalities and surrounding clubs to install dedicated recycling bins at tennis courts where used balls can be dropped for recycling. Used balls will be periodically collected and shipped to recycling centers. Aces for Earth is asking for donations to purchase the all-weather, outdoor recycle bins. Your donation will have a direct impact on our community.

Please consider donating $10, $25, $50, $75, $100, or more.  With a $275 donation you may have a "donated by [donor's name or business name]" inscription placed on a local recycling bin of your choice, provided a donation has not already been earmarked for that bin. If you have any questions, including about availability of a bin for inscription please contact me below.

We have placed or currently working to get recycle bins placed in/at Mountain Lakes High School, Rockaway River Country Club, Park Lakes Tennis Club, Mountain Lakes Club, Morristown Field Club, and Lake Valhalla Club.  And looking forward to expanding beyond...
