My name is Natalie and I'm creating this page on behalf of my Mum Liz, Dad Danny and family.

Our very sweet 6 year old Border Collie Ace suddenly became very unwell on Sunday night, ending up at SASH on the Central Coast on Monday.

Ace has undergone multiple tests and a CT scan. Today (3 June) he is having his gallbladder removed. This surgery takes up to 3 hours. Ace has multiple infections, concerns with his liver and kidneys. If his gallbladder wasn't removed, it would rupture and kill him. The surgeon has said that this is very uncommon and that he is a very sick boy. This has all happened out of the blue.

Two weeks ago my Mum and Dad sold and moved house to clear their debts and sort the near future. This has now wiped any savings they had left. Ace's vet bill currently sits at $17,000, with an estimated final cost of $18,000 to $22,000 and that's without any after care he will need. They are both retired and have used every cent for our boy and a chance at saving his life.

Ace came into our lives 3 years ago when we connected with Sharlene from Asterby Border Collies. The stars aligned and he came into our world as we had so much love to give and to help heal the loss of Ollie, our 3 year old black and white Border Collie who we lost to necrotising pancreatitis in 2018.

For the Border Collie lovers, Ace has blood lines to the Wonderdogs and the late Flynn. He has the sweetest nature and we have one of his grand puppies, Buddy, a kelpie sister Ruby and golden brother Teddy who are all missing him terribly.

I understand the cost of living is very tight and we are so truly thankful for any help we receive.

Our dogs are our life and we would do anything for them. We just want our boy to come home :(
